The immersive education you want, the flexibility you need and a rewarding career as a web developer is just a click away.

What do web developers do?

The world of web development includes a whole range of specializations. Here are a few of them.

Front-end developers create the look and feel of a website or application — by manipulating colours, fonts, text fields, images, buttons and banners. They program these interfaces to create responsive, user-friendly, and interactive user experiences.

Back-end developers configure the servers and databases that power a website or application, working with other developers and designers to power the front-end of the website. Think of it as being the architect behind a beautifully-designed website or app.

Full-stack developers can build both the front and back ends of a website or app. Our web development program will give you all the skills you need to become a full-stack developer and sets you to be a lifelong effective, adaptive, and curious learner throughout your career.

In a short span of time, React JS has become one of the most used JavaScript frameworks. While building a single page application, you'll learn a new way to think about structuring your user interface by using components, one way data flow and the Virtual DOM.

Our students put their trust in us, so we hold ourselves to the highest standards to ensure that everyone coming into our program is set up for success.

Apply online

A short 5-10 minute application for you to introduce yourself, including your education, previous experience, and your superpower. You know, the important details that help us get to know you. New cohorts fill up on a rolling basis, so make sure to submit your application as soon as possible!

Our admissions team will get in touch (quickly!) after reviewing your application and invite you for an interview. During the interview, we'll discuss your background and post-bootcamp goals so we can get to know you better. This is also your opportunity to ask any questions you might have. The interview is a chance for both of us to assess if this program is a fit for you.

Logic and Technical Assessments

After the group interview, successful candidates will be sent over instructions to take our logic test and materials to prepare for and take the technical assessment. You do not need to have prior experience in coding or data science to perform well on these tests. These are both multiple-choice and done online on your own time within a 2-week period of your group interview.

Prep Modules

The first step to becoming a developer is laying your foundation with our Prep Modules. The 70 hours you'll spend on completing prep will introduce the basic technologies you'll use throughout bootcamp, including: HTML, CSS, Ruby, JavaScript, and git. You are required to complete the Prep Modules before your first day of bootcamp.

We believe that the best developers are passionate, lifelong learners. As for you: you see bootcamp as more than just the means to an end, and it shows in your ever-growing list of side projects.

Some brains are just wired for coding, no matter their previous exposure or education. Veterans are often required to think in a logical, structured way that lends itself beautifully to a career as a developer.

Becoming a developer is far from easy. This bootcamp program requires motivation, determination, hard work, and resilience. Veterans are often goal-oriented and have a solid idea of what they want to accomplish and then work hard to get it done.

12 Week Bootcamp Graduate

Making the choice to pursue a career in tech is very intimidating. This program is incredibly fast paced and demanding, and is designed to throw you out of your comfort zone and keep you there for 12 straight weeks. Learning to be comfortable in that environment is nearly as important as learning the languages. This program is not for the feint of heart, but if you want a career in Tech then it's well worth the effort and LHL is probably the best place in Canada to help guide you there.
